I am currently the President of the National Fire Protection Association of the Philippines (NFPA Philippines). I was the Past President of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Philippine Chapter from 2012 to 2013, I was also Technical Committee Chairman of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. (PSME) and the Philippine Society of Ventilating Air Conditioning Refrigerating Engineers (PSVARE). I Chaired the development into a book of the Philippine Mechanical Engineering Code 2012 and the PSVARE Standard for Energy Efficient Buildings for Non-Low Rise Buildings.
I am a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in the Philippines and licensed Professional Engineer of California and Minnesota. I authored a book about the EPIRA Law. I am an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer. I worked at various local and international consulting firms including a six year stint in the Middle East and in Guam. From 2002 to 2008, I practiced engineering in Glendale, California where I gained experience in building standards in the US. I was born and earn my living in the Philippine –the Country I love.

I have been a practicing Professional Mechanical Engineer (1981) in the Philippines and for a short time, in the US, being a licensed Professional Engineer (2002) in California and (2001) in Minnesota. In 2015 to 2018, I was a Member of the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Mechanical Engineering.
